Development concept for a 10 MegaWatt vertical-axis wind turbine, with 300m wing span. Its particular aeronautical qualities allows the scaling up to higher power output than the conventional horizontal-axis type. It also makes off-shore mooring possible.

The brief consisted in working with aeronautical engineer David Sharpe and Windpower to make an architecturally compelling design. It was entered into the scheme for the redevelopment of the Las Palmas harbour but has since continued development as a large- and medium-scale wind farm technology.
Construction of scaled-down 7 kW proof-of-concept prototype.
