Suite of furnishings winner of the Heart of Doha Public Realm Furnishings competition 2013.

The bench is part of the series of public realm elements for the Downtown Doha development.  It was derived from a traditional Qatari bench, after having studied the particular ways people use seating in the region.   Our version had the structure of a park bench with a combination of timber boards – with area accenting decorations dependent on location – that are stretched between two end-castings in aluminium-bronze.  Cleaning is made simplified by easy access below the bench.
