Times Square Alliance – Pedestrian Bridge
Client: Times Square Alliance – New York 2008
Designers: Billings Jackson Design
JvStedingk capacity: Co-Designer
The Times Square Alliance generates proposals for local improvement to the City of New York. A foot bridge was proposed with a viewing platform in the most narrow and critical position.
The bridge would divert the tourist circulation away from the crowded side-walks, improving pedestrian flow for people working in the area. At the same time this would create a new focal point for mid-town Manhattan.
