CPV solar power plant proposal for Education City, Qatar

The client required a concept for a showcase solar power plant for the Education City development in Qatar, using GreenVolts
Concentrated Photo-Voltaic (CPV) technology with 1600 ‘CarouSol’ units, each 6 meter diameter. An idea was derived from the locally venerated Sidra tree for both the layout of the CPV units – for aerial viewing – and the visitor centre with observation tower. Service buildings extend laterraly.
