As part of the the Qatar Public Realm Design Guidelines for the Qatari Highways Authority, Ashghal, Jonas von Stedingk and Harry Dobbs were commissioned by AECOM to design a set of elements for the public realm.

The bus shelters were conceived to provide a relatively uncluttered contribution to the streetscape, with the scale of detail relating to that of the surrounding buildings rather then usual furnishings.  These modular structures can be made to different sizes and configurations, including an enclosed air-conditioned shelter with semi-reflective glazing.
